The Embers of War with pics

The story of a young couple, in love and illicitly engaged, on the South Coast of post-war Britain, who are helped to a new life in Argentina by a widowed aunt who had recently been one of the few women pilots engaged in operations over Occupied Europe, had lost her aircraft in a clandestine operation, and been recuperated by the French Resistance and brought back to England via France, Spain, and Ireland. During the journey she had a brief but poignant love affair in Spain. The story is written as fiction, but based on true experiences.
