The Adventures of Captain Steadfast

Summer 1958...Deep behind the famous "Tweed Curtain" of old Oak Bay and inside a walled estate dwells a lonely rich boy. He has just turned 13. As the youngest and sole remaining scion of the Belmont's one of Victoria's original colonial families, much is expected of him. Attendance at the famous St. Hyginus Boys School awaits him in only a few precious months. However, Arthur Belmont, our hero, has a damaging speech impediment which all his childhood has made him cling to being a recluse, safe behind the stone walls and sea encompassing his beautiful home. The arrival of a stranger, a little girl, changes his outlook on the world forever.
