The Second Dawn - Encounter

For hundreds of years the more enlightened have asked “are we alone?” That question is answered when a benevolent watcher civilization makes itself known to five astronauts in a space shuttle and offers help in our development and expansion. The help is accompanied with a warning that any attempt to export our violent tendencies into the galaxy could result in the end of the human epoch on Earth. While one group works diligently to distribute the gifts and technology brought by the watchers, another, more sinister segment, plots to take control of everything for their own ends and destroy an opportunity for a Second Dawn of human civilization.
