A Patch of Hope

Follow the adventures of the son of Italian immigrants and his sweetheart as they face the seemingly insurmountable challenges of escaping poverty while living in a town (patch) controlled by a coal and coke company. Feel the joy of love and the pain of World War I while following the lives of young people caught in political turmoil and ethnic prejudice. Along the way, you’ll encounter several mysteries within an inferno created near Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania by one of the longest strings of “beehive” coke ovens in the country.
