BEULAH: A Trip to My Past

Readers can come to understand how life was for a farmer's son when they take a trip with John to his past. He was raised on a farm in the northeast Piney Woods of Texas, after being born merely months before lives were hit hard by the devastation brought on by the Great Depression. The author brings Beulah to life. The reader will feel they knew John from birth through his years as a young man. As well, the reader can get a sense for the culture of the small community John called home, and wished so badly to leave.
