The Crystal of Pride

Bellwether is a tormented warrior that finds after his torture and escape from the ruling class of monsters, there is in fact no escape no matter how far he tries to run. He learns that he cannot run from his memories or what they have tried to turn him into. In his attempt to evade the abnormalities of the society he finds a beautiful and mysterious woman that needs his help. Despite his commendable attempt to help her she mistakenly believes him to be as bad as the society where she has been cast. They come to an uneasy truce in order to survive. She soon makes plans to use him in her attempt to save her homeland. He can only wonder what she wants from him.
