Volume 3 continues the family of Phillip Board in Mercer Co., Kentucky and Missouri, and Sally Board descendants of African-American heritage in Kansas, with Adkerson (Atkinson), Webb families; Philip Pietersz Schuyler (died 1683) of Albany, New York; Nathaniel Kingsland (died 1685) of Christ Church, Barbados with Teller family. Dutch families who developed hereditary surnames while in New Amsterdam: Vanderipe, Volckertszen, Westerfield, Demarest, DeMaree, Cozine in the 1600s. In northwestern Germanic states, Hinrich Meinken (died 1550) of Uphusen, Verden with Reibers, Tietjen, Wendt; Gerke Kemna (died 1580) of Bremen with Martens; Hermann Bischoff (died 1545) of Verden with Tietjen, Siems, Frercks; Johann Wurtmann (died 1540) of Bremen with Bollman, Elfers; Diedrich Reiners (died 1620) of Verdun; Brüne Seekamp (died 1485) of Verdun.
