The Walsingham Psalter Volume 1: Advent and Chrismastide

Inspired by the Mundelein Psalter, the four volumes of the Walsingham Psalter present Morning and Evening Prayer as given in the Book of Common Prayer of the Episcopal Church in the USA (and in the Philippines) with all the psalms and canticles and many other parts set to simple chants designed to be used with English texts. For someone who wants to chant the Office but doesn’t want anything too difficult, these chants are ideal. Each volume is set out in the traditional “Breviary” format of each day’s psalms and canticles being together in one place, rather than the BCP format of the psalms given in a block and having to be found for each day. Psalms have antiphons and psalm prayers, and there is a comprehensive Proper of Saints giving all the Red and Black letter days from the BCP and the lesser feasts from the Revised Lesser Feasts and Fasts 2018 books. Also, Commons for the various categories of Saints are given. Each volume contains a listing of the readings for Morning and Evening prayer according to the BCP for the period covered, so a Bible is needed well! Volume 1 covers the period from the First Sunday of Advent to the Baptism of the Lord.
