A Civil War Family

This book takes place in the area of Virginia that is now presently West Virginia. It is about a boy named Caleb, who doesn’t agree with his pa on the issue of slavery. His ma, Lucretia, is against slavery, just like Caleb. Charles (Caleb’s pa) is pro slavery and so is his brother, James. One day, the whole family has a huge fight and it is what tears their family apart. The result of the fight is his pa leaving and joining the Confederate army.
