In my life’s journey, I’ve seen how easy it is to build walls around oneself and stay within one’s cocoon. I’ve learned that growth may become difficult and stagnation may set in. I’ve learned not to be afraid to build bridges, to reach out, and to connect more with people instead. I’ve learned that life offers more when you breathe freely and really live. I also figured that it seems humbling to admit one’s mistakes and never the best of scenes when apologizing privately or publicly for one’s wrongdoings. There is a sense that it is too demeaning and diminishes one’s esteem. I learned quickly that I could also be battling with a lot of ego and pride. Then I concluded that it is better to think differently. I told myself, “You’re better off when you bravely face your imperfections and show a determined readiness to get things right.” As you read through the quotes from my Dawntides publication, I hope you will travel with me through my thoughts on introspection, values, love, self-awareness, people, resilience, and faith to keep pushing and moving forward in life’s journey.
