Gleanings of Archer Road

The history of Archer Road, told here for the first time, is a long and interesting story spanning from the time of the first Native Americans to the time this manuscript was written. It served as a portage route for native Americans and explorers, an access road to monitor the building of the Illinois and Michigan Canal, a stagecoach route, and a host of other transportation purposes.
