Americanborn: Psalms of the Silent Nation is a partner book to the book True Daughter of This Soil and a sequel to the books Liefie and Harmonie and follows the dreams Harmonie and Liefie have as they are separated on opposite ends of the world. Both characters fight through political turmoil and the impending collapse of the their nations, the United States and South Africa. Another character named Sanger lives fifty years and the future and reads the writings of Harmonie, long after she has passed away.
