While talk of innovation often conjured up images of scientific breakthroughs in the lab, or start-up businesses, we believed that innovation in the arts and humanities was just as important. What follows in this book, are the best submissions from current Carolina undergraduate students in three divisions: poetry, short fiction, and creative non-fiction. It is with both great pleasure and great pride that I present to you this collection of works from students of all different backgrounds across all different departments. But more importantly, it is with great hope that this is a step towards helping Carolina students gloriously succeed in using their talents and a step in the right direction of working toward our to-do list.
