I write folk-fiction about small town life in the Northern Great Lakes region, 1934-present. Most of the characters in the novels and in the village readers live in a delightful small village called Birch Clump. Several characters are portrayed in their whacky younger Baby Boomer years. The author presents intercultural interests among Anishinabe Ojibwe (Native American) and Metis (mixed race) and the now dominate Euro-American society. Witty, dramatic at times, endearing and engaging. Hawk Dancer (part 1) and Cloudburst (part 2) are companion novels. The Birch Clump Village Reader series is a collection of short stories, some poetry, and plenty of art. By request, the BC Village Reader series share more about some of the characters readers of the first two novels have asked about.
