The muscles inside the middle ear that hold the oscillating bones in place have grown. This occurs either thru inflammation or from extensive use. All muscles vibrate. Smaller muscles vibrate less, so we can’t hear them. Bigger muscles vibrate harder and with a different oscillation. They induce their vibration inside the ear. We perceive this as a buzzing sound.
