My book of poems is based on childhood growing up NDN among many confused souls, but their attempt maintain perserve a culture is what has brought the Carrizo/Comecrudo of Texas the people who give me identity to this point in History. The uncovering of so many historical events in Texas has also help me to my own talents of expression.
Thank you to all of those elders, like my parents, uncles and aunts, and the many teachers in my life. I do want to give special mention to the late Bob Rivera, Sidney Keith, and My Grandfathers and Grandmothers Juan Mancias and Faustina Jovita Garcia, and Benito Reyes and Martina Perez Leal.
