Julie Pujol- Karel (Irma, for her childhood friends) was born in Cuba and left her country in search of liberty due to the Communist Regimen.
Wrote her first poem on flight from Cuba to USA and has continued to write ever since.
She is the Director and founder of The International Bilingual Book Festival CTP as well as Conversing through Poetry a poetry group that has authors that write novels, children's books, self-help, the inexplicable, and poetry. The group meets the third Saturday of the month since 2006.
She has published fourteen books (one of short stories and the others are poetry books. Also, has curated nine anthologies for CTP).

A woman of faith, Christ is the center of her life. She has a son, a daughter, seven grandkids, seven great grandkids, sisters, nephews and friends.
