Training Manual for stakeholders on the abuse of Minors and Vulnerable Adults

This training manual is developed as part of the efforts of Justice, Development and Peace Commission Ibadan to address the problem of the abuse of minors and vulnerable adults in Oyo and Osun States, Southwest Nigeria. Whereas there are applicable laws and standards that protect children in Nigeria, including the Child’s Rights Acts of Nigeria 2003, the Child’s Rights Law of Oyo State, 2006; the Child’s Rights Law of Osun State, 2007 and several Child Protection Policies such as the Child Protection Policy of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria. The abuse of children and vulnerable adults in Oyo and Osun States is a common and everyday experience. Children are daily abused in homes, schools, streets, places of worship and in care centres.
