Threat Level: Elevated (EXCERPT)
What we hoped to achieve in this project is to look at the museums collections as a challenge. The collections are meant to challenge the public, so in turn we aim to challenge the collections. If the works in the museum are seen as images existing in the world, as images derived from public and private life, then it should be no surprise that the subject matter in our projects would threaten the normalcy of museum life. The question however still remains, how safe does a work of art have to be to enter the public life? Consider that your threat level.
