Rhymes of Rage and Restlessness is different than the previous two collections I have published. Both Songs of Silence and Serenity and Tales of Terror and Tenderness were collections of poems and prose written mostly in my childhood, teen years, and young adulthood. Most of it was written in the 1980s and 1990s. I wrote a lot back then. Some of it was lost in various moves, other pieces I destroyed in the belief that they were not good enough. A select few came from the decade I spent in the Navy. For a long time, I did not write. I felt unimportant and as though I lacked any talent for such things. I have no idea if I was right or wrong. I just know that in the last few years, I have felt like writing. And when you feel like writing, you should write.
