Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
This book is the fourth part of a series of books that will focus on an
English translation of the text known as the Srī Nānak Parkāsh that
was written by Bhāī Santokh Singh Jī.
The Srī Nānak Parkāsh is a hagiographic account portraying the life
of Srī Gurū Nānak Dev Jī through a poetical measure. This text was
created by the great poet, Kavī Santokh Singh Jī for Sikhs to focus on
the correct historical stories of the Gurū when there were many
accounts that had been tampered. The distortion of earlier historical
accounts led to Kavī Santokh Singh Jī creating this text so that Sikhs
would have knowledge about the founder of their faith. Through these
stories’ individuals can also gain knowledge on great philosophical
and metaphysical teachings.
I have written this book so that the Sikh community who are unable
to understand the Punjābī vernacular are able to grasp the great life of
Srī Gurū Nānak Dev Jī. I am surprised that so far, the many Sikh
scholars have not attempted to bring such a work to the community. It
is with the grace of the intellectuals that I have been able to
commence such a project. This commentary was originally uttered by
Giānī Harbhajan Singh Dhudhikay (Vidyārthī Sampardāi Bhindrā).
