Effingo: Assassin of Verona

In the late 1700’s Verona, Francisco Giovanni is one of the richest merchants in Italy. He is young, handsome, extravagant and can commit no wrong in his public’s eager eyes who watch him like an audience hungry for the next act. Abruptly in the midst of the young man’s success, tragedy soon befalls him by the unexpected death of his brother, and the presage of a possible scandal lead him to commit an extraordinary atrocity that must be kept hidden from the world. He is at last faced with his most malign secret when he sees his brother again.
