The Thomas Oliver Kent Family: From Cornwall to America

Karen Kent Bernard is the great granddaughter of Thomas Oliver Kent. She has long known that her Kent ancestors came from Cornwall. She set out to learn more about their origins. This took her on a 10-year journey, including travel to the home in England from which Kent immigrated to America. She found herself on an interesting path of discovery about Cornwall's history and how its people lived, as well as the history of her family. The story begins with a description of the area in Cornwall where her ancestors lived and worked, and ends in California where many of Thomas Oliver Kent's descendants settled.
