The Sheffield Flood is still the worst man-made disaster in English history and claimed the lives of over 300 people when the embankment of the Dale Dyke Reservoir collapsed on the night of 11th-12th March 1864 but it is a disaster that has been virtually forgotten. For the past few years I have been carrying our family history research about the lives of those unfortunate enough to die in this terrible event. I am hoping that by sharing the results of my research it will enable me to play my small part in helping to perpetuate the memory of these poor people. This book is the third of a planned series of 3 covering the lives of the people who drowned, with surnames starting P to Z. This is a full colour A4 size paperback book. Please see the book preview for a list of names included in this book.
