About Karen Louise Hollis

Karen has been writing since she was a little girl, being brought up in a house where both her parents worked as journalists. She was born in Lincoln, England in 1969 and has recently moved back there. She has five children and three grandchildren. In 2013, she published THOUGHTS OF A NEW OLD MUM - about her experiences as both a young mum and an older mum. In 2015, her biography of the actor Anthony Ainley was published by Fantom Films - The Man Behind the Master. Her 1980s gymnastics book (1980-84) came out in June 2016 and the sequel (1985-89) in July 2018. She is currently working on a series of books called Gymnasts in Conversation. Each one features exclusive interviews from gymnasts across the decades who have competed for their country. She also produces CLASSIC GYMNASTICS magazine. She has recently finished writing her first novella and her first novel.
