"the mourning after: poems 1996-2011" is Edmonton poet Kasia Gawlak's first book, a retrospective volume spanning 15 years of her work. "the mourning after" explores sex, love, heartbreak, loss, grief, anger and human relationships. The book features 43 original illustrations (including front and back covers) by Andreas Loutas, a naturally gifted artist whose work is dark, complex and provocative. "the mourning after" is self-published and self-designed.
