Son of Arianrhod: The Sonatas for Cello & Piano
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
By 2009 Katie was partially paralyzed from strokes, in a difficult marriage, and was told she was dying. It was then she met a man she would come to call Fishboy and the meeting fundamentally altered her life. He reintroduced her to the ocean and the magical creature of her childhood: the seahorse. By August 2010 she decided to walk, dragging her right foot behind so she could see more of his world and find a way thru her own. And he saved her life. In "Son of Arianrhod" she explores her love for this fairytale companion who smelled of the sea and her loss of him. Through a mixture of spoken word, vocal, cello and piano the album covers the emotional terrain of myth, heartbreak, childhood innocence and the capacity to love that defines our human migration.
