A Cub's Own Guide to a Good Life

This leaders' resource book is a collection of prayers, graces, sayings, stories and activities with a spiritual theme for Cub Scouts and other children. Its purpose is: 1) To encourage children to enjoy the beauties of nature; 2) To consider the big questions involving the meaning and purpose of life, the vastness of the universe, and the existence of God; 3) To develop the moral values of citizenship, helpfulness and good behaviour. The manual was written as a training project for Cub Scout Leadership, to help guide the author and other Cub Leaders in running programmes related to the spiritual aspect of Scouting. Although the manual focuses on Cub Leaders and their Packs, it is also a useful guide for Sunday School teachers, school scripture teachers, childcare assistants, and for families who want to instil moral values, helpfulness, kindness and good behaviour in their own offspring.
