2023 edition of the Works Progress Administration (WPA) Federal Arts Project (FAP) 1939 Calendar. Original calendar art and layout by NYC Poster Division director Richard Floethe and nine memorable New Deal artists. FAP artists were responsible for the poster's design, color, and sometimes the cutting of the stencils used to print the poster. It was a remarkably successful effort between artists and the WPA workshop technical staff. Their collaboration employed a new and revolutionary silk-screen process capable of mass production creating technically well-balanced and artistically pleasing posters. 2023 calendar covers designed by Kathleen Duxbury with all revenues directed to the National New Deal Preservation Association (www.nndpa.org.)
