Kathy Boyd Fellure, author of the four book, Blake Sisters, Lake Tahoe Illustrated Adventure Stories, is the second born of eight daughters.
Though total fiction, the stories are loosely based on the seven Boyd girls
spending their summers at their grandparents cabin on the north shore at Lake Tahoe, California.
Each book represents a season ~ summer, autumn, winter and spring at the lake and a new adventure. There is a teaching page at the end of each story that offers children the opportunity to learn about the Tahoe region ~ birds, critters and fish, trees and wildflowers.
Join the sisters as they pair up for fun at a birthday tea party with new feathered friends and no cake, go camping with their parents and on a hike infiltrated by the neighborhood stinky boys, set out on a red rubber boot romp in a winter wonderland, and make button necklaces with their Nana on a rainy day they're cabin-bound while waiting for the newest Blake sibling to arrive.
