Not So Among You

Contrary to popular belief, egalitarianism is not a liberal position. It is a biblical one. Many egalitarian arguments rely on discussions about both ancient and modern cultures to explain their positions. This can leave many Bible believing Christians with the impression that the Bible itself does not support equality among all peoples. But when we carefully examine the so-called "problem verses" in light of the message of the entire Bible, when we look closely at the words in the original language and at figurative language within the text, it becomes clear that the Bible grants full equality to all people without regards to race or sex.
