On the beginning of this journey, this pilgrimage, I stopped living day after day, doing the same old thing. This shock out of my normal life helped bring about the start of seeing. As we visited each sacred site, one cathedral after another, my eyes opened wider and saw the things that really mattered. As each day passes, each step we take brings us closer to our real selves and we shed what we don’t need.
A pilgrimage is often seen as a quest for the self. A renewal of the soul. This requires having an open mind and heart. This will transform us, and we will come alive.
These poems and reflections are a result of that journey.
