Sam, a teenage boy, tells of his life experiences growing up in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina in the 1800's. Scattered throughout the story are unsolved mystries, bits of humor, love and intrigue. The story, though fictional, portrays many of life's activities during this period of our history.
