Legends & Legacies: Legacy of Shadows Past

Since “The Lord of the Rings” and “Harry Potter” have made their film debut, fantasy-fiction novels have reached more households than ever before. The major difficulties in the genre lie in the fact that they largely depend on a limited market, namely adolescent males and adult males (who, like myself, act like adolescents). My books take the classic epic tale and adds a twist or two. All the classic elements are present (knights in shining armor, hideous monsters, exotic races, and a foreboding and ancient evil that, if awakened, will destroy everything in its path…you know, the usual). What is different about my work is that the heroes are largely female and details not only who they are and how they act, but also how they grow to embrace their own individual destinies.
