A Moment Of Bliss

Kevin Michael Earley’s first novel is about three young individuals- Orien, a layered and complex young man struggling with bi-polar disorder, Theo, a scarred and mysterious intellectual brute with a haunted past and a gift at chess and Ruby, a voluptuous and carefree muse. The book goes through the three stages of a chess game, and as it does, it unveils the passions, hopes, dreams and disappointments of their lives. From “love at first sight” to drug addiction and from bi-polar disorder to other unexpected life obstacles that our main characters face, they do so with the a learned resolve and the supreme understanding that life is short, fleeting, tragic and “Moments Of Bliss” are few and far between.
