The Lives and Times of a Cornish Family

(B/W Publisher Grade) The book details the lives and times of two branches of the Tonkin family. There are also brief details of other Tonkin families in Cornwall, and families with Tonkin connections. Much of this book would not have been possible if it were not for the foresight of Thomas Tonkin (1678-1742) one of the leading local historians of the time. Much of his work survives including a detailed account of his family which was invaluable in the writing of this book. The aim of this book is purely my attempt to be the first(as far as I know)to write and publish a history of the family, and to present it in a readable and interesting format. I have also included various highlighted sections on the times my ancestors lived in, and various explanatory notes, comments etc regarding genealogy so I hope it may also appeal to a wider audience.
