MLCW - Vol. #11 - Them Grits, 'Nanner Puddin', and Black-eyed Peas
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
This book is the eleventh volume of the comprehensive 20-Volume "My Life's Collective Works" - the autobiographical project of Kevin V. Hunt. This book is a history of my service as a Missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Originally, I was called to the Alabama-Florida Mission and the mission name was later changed to the Florida-Tallahassee Mission. The final six months of the mission was spent in historic Nauvoo, in Illinois, This is the first of two volumes about the mission. This volume introduces mission preparations and processes, The book gives a great history of the Salt Lake Mission Home and includes the format and plans for the 5-day Mission Home experience. The book also covers the first three areas of service in the mission - including Panama City, Florida; Tifton, Georgia; and Birmingham, Alabama.
Material for this mission book is a composite of several different data sources including weekly letters sent to the Mission President (Spencer H Osborn), letters sent weekly to the folks - Russel F. and Alura Hunt, the mission scrapbook, notes taken by Elder Hunt at district and zone conferences, mission slides (digitized) and communications from the mission office. All of these materials are merged together - mostly chronologically - as they occurred in the mission.
