Lauren Banks is determined to go back to Mexico. After a missions trip two years ago, she's worked tirelessly with her youth pastor preparing for a chance to return to help the people that helped her.
Then Lauren's parents separate, splintering the fragile stability of her family. Lauren finds herself in public school for the first time, and she hears that the return missions trip has been postponed due to lack of participants.
Fighting to make the trip happen, Lauren starts a Bible study group at her school in hopes of getting people to go back to Mexico with her. But when the group divides a friendship and tensions rise in Lauren's own family, she faces a choice between her past and her future that may be the answer to her circumstances—if she looks in the right place.
