Issue VII: Tahmina (love & loss) takes inspiration from Persian epic, centralising the character of Tahmina, a lover and a mother.
Writers and artists have taken Tahmina's story and her transformation from a young princess seducing a great warrior, to a mother nurturing her son, only for him to lose on the battlefield to his own father (a jewel in the dust), to explore the universal themes of love and loss.
Issue VII moves through the erotic, lust, to love and heartache, into memory and grief. These themes are spoken through an eclectic selection of poetry, prose and artwork to honour the lived experience of many and to reach beyond a heteronormative perspective.
