Swiss orphan girl, Heidi, is sent to live with her grandfather in the Alps. She meets Peter, a boy who herds goats on the beautiful mountains. Eventually Heidi is sent to Frankfurt to live in wealthy Mr. Sesemann's big house. She befriends invalid Clara. Heidi returns to the mountains and soon Clara is brought there too. With the fresh mountain air, good food and beautiful surroundings, Clara learns to walk again. Heidi is a delightful classic for all ages.
