Forget-Me-Nots of the Civil War
Although the authoress bills this book as a "romance," it has nothing in common with what we understand by that poor class of literature. In this memoir of the War Between the States, large portions are taken up with the letters of family members off to war - some of them written from Point Lookout Prison. The autoress even meets the infamous war criminal General Sherman in person.
