Lango: Memoir of a Kogarah Boy

The life and time of Lesley Albert Langston, who commenced writing his memoir in his 80's, with limited "hunt and pick" typing skills and a failing memory, in order to provide a record for those who follow. He takes you through growing up in a working class suburb, with a father incapacitated by horrific war injuries and how he rose through education and hard work from an auto electrician, to being an international traveller as an executive. The joys and travails of raising five children when money was tight, in a 60 year partnership with his wife June and their eventual travels by caravan after retirement. This is a warm story from a man not prone to emotional outpourings, making it all the more remarkable and it is set and reset constantly against the backdrop of the changing social structure of Australia.
