Band In A Jam - Complete Musical Parts

The Complete Band In A Jam contains all the Full Scores and the written music parts for this project. It does not contain individual scales or diagrams for improvisation. As music educators, we all know there is a huge amount of material for jazz and swing bands, but little of that is inclusive of groups of guitarists. Most bands will feature only one guitar, keyboard or bass player who is of necessity an advanced player. The aim of this project is to give precedence to rock and pop instruments in combination with wind - and strings - and, just as importantly, to encourage improvisation in the context of the average school band. (This makes it useful in the context of teaching GCSE composition to the reluctant or nervous student!) These rock and jazz grooves are highly differentiated to enable use with beginners and class bands as well as WOPs guitar projects. They have been used in both KS2 and KS3 teaching with large and small groups and are popular with children and teenagers alike.
