Lisa and her family have lived in Boulder Creek since 1990. She is currently the President of the Board of Directors of the San Lorenzo Valley Historical Society which owns and operates the San Lorenzo Valley Museum in Boulder Creek, where she wears many hats including the Volunteer Collections Manager. She volunteers at the Computer History Museum, is a member of the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History (MAH) Landmark Committee, is the communicator for Researchers Anonymous of Santa Cruz County, is a member of the MAH Publications Committee, and is the editor for the MAH's upcoming History Journal No. 7.
Besides her published works, Lisa authored the successful National Register of Historic Places nomination for the Grace Episcopal Church Building that houses the San Lorenzo Valley Museum, she is also a regular contributor to the Santa Cruz Mountain Bulletin newspaper.
