The Napoleon of the People: Honoré De Balzac

"The Napoleon of the People" was originally published in the French periodical "Le Medicin de Campagne." It is a story told to a group of farmers by Goguelat, an ex-soldier who served under Napoleon in an infantry regiment. It was later included in "Folk Tales of Napoleon," a collection of stories centred around the great military commander.
