Her harrowing accounts of illness and disease, epic train rides and bank robberies punctuate an accurate record of the day-to-day life of a young, homesick mother, separated from her beloved family and two young chldren. These letters have been faithfully transcribed from faded, folded correspondence unearthed in South Africa in 2010 by an award winning short-story writer.
