This book is about spiritual formation and the development of ministerial leaders. The book’s approach assumes that, in Christian churches and other religious institutions, the person in charge must not only serve as the administrator, manager, supervisor, and leader but also take on an additional role that is not so well defined. Effective ministerial leaders diligently seek to connect with their virtuous leadership attributes. They consistently strive for spiritual formation by cultivating their spiritual fruit, engaging in spiritual disciplines, and tapping into their prevalent spiritual types and styles. In doing so, they strengthen their capacity to connect with God to move the organization closer to attaining its transcendent goals. This book is an educational tool kit organized into six chapters to help ministerial leaders assess and activate their God-given talents. Additional resources in the appendices provide skill-building tools for ongoing spiritual formation and leadership development.
