The Oboe Concerto Opus 3 by Louis Glass is listed in the literature as "incomplete" or "lost". The music literature knows of no other significant oboe concerto for the period of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, i.e. between the two known oboe concertos by Vincenzo Bellini (1823) and the one by R. Vaughan-Williams (1944). Now history must be rewritten: Louis Glass's Oboe Concerto is a work composed in the best Scandinavian-Romantic style in 1888 and will become a standard repertoire piece for all oboists. The partial reconstruction of the lost oboe part, could be completed congenially on the basis of engraving notes and other clues. A real sensation for oboists, not only in Scandinavia. Full score at AlbisMusic. The individual orchestralparts are put together as ONE PDF. The PDF can also be split into individual parts again. It is also possible to view them via Tablet/iPad and a corresponding viewing software like "piaScore" or "forScore".
