Telemark Journal

Issue 1

ByLuca Gasparini

Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
Telemark Journal is a book linked to the literature tradition of the mountain. We imagine that this semi-annual periodical will enhance your bookshelves and not just end up in a pile in your sitting room! We hope that this will add to a moment of your passion and connection to the telemark community as we grow into a global community committed to a different exploration of the mountains. This Journal aspires to be an International one that will describe places and mountains of the World through the voices of international writers passionate about mountaineering with telemark skis. For the most part, articles will appear in the original language. Visitors are invited to scan through the pages on their mobile phones to see if topics are of interest in their language or in others. Is this a handicap? We feel not as it is like closing our telemark bindings in preparation for a tour. It might be laborious and tiring to get ready to head out, but we know it is always worth it in terms of the amazing ski ahead and with respect to this journal---the read ahead. Half yearly? This is a big commitment and we can only succeed if we can attract strong quality of writing, stories, and photos. Strong quality will also attract other skiers/writers/photographers. The more readers, and writers, the more articles, and introduction to more unknown places and interpretations. Please help us spread the news of this new Journal among your community, and help excited enough curiosity that others will also want to contribute articles, stories and photos of their telemark experiences around the world. From the tradition of old times Journals, we wish to achieve something new and outstanding because telemark is also new and outstanding!
