This is a heartfelt tribute to our Western Civilization and its main component today, the American culture, from a Hispanic immigrant, by highlighting their salient characteristics and value system, as compared to other civilizations and cultural backgrounds. Communication between people having different cultural backgrounds must be guided by Western values to achieve the understanding needed in our iterconnected world today.
